Issues and Trends in Higher Education

This course encompasses a foundational understanding of the current and historical structures and governance of postsecondary education. Students will explore the external issues of accountability facing postsecondary education such as accreditation, state and federally legislated regulations, and the economic factors of affordability. Current and historically relevant issues related to faculty, academic freedom, research, funding, students, and technology will also be explored.
